For the past six years Tk Open Systems has helped maintan the security of Bank of Jerusalem's Internet servers. These servers are specially hardened, with miltiple layers of access control and security in accordance with the requirements of the Bank of Israel. We conduct regular surveilance operations on the servers and conduct regular reviews of the application source code.
The Bank of Jerusalem Internet servers use a Tk Open Systems hardware security device to pass data between the Internet and the Bank's internal IT systems. This device, called "The Lion's Gate" prevents TCP/IP communications between the networks but allows specially formatted data to pass between the networks. Our "Lion's Gate" solution has the approval of the Bank of Israel and has been approved in the past by the Israeli security services for other applications. The "Lion's Gate" device can be configured to allow one-way or two-way data passage.
Between 1998 and 2007 Tk Open Systems was responsible for the daily operation of a number of key Internet servers at the Israel Ministry of Education. These included the Ministry's email list server, spam and virus filtering, DNS services and a special Nessus-based server for monitoring internal network security. Tk Open Systems continues to maintain and upgrade these servers after passing day-to-day operations to Ministry personnel.
